Koi Fry or any Fish Fry have some amazing chracteristics

Koi Fry will double in size every day for the first three days. When they are hatched out you have to look very carefully for the fry as they are slightly smaller than a pin. The koi fry hatch out after about 2-3 Days at 22 degree. As soon as the fry hatch they have no mouth, Anus they just stick to the sides of the tank using a sticky pad under their head. They will stay here and absorb the yolk sac for a further 2-3 days. After this time they come upto the water surface and gulp air this fills their swim bladders up with air. The Koi Fry then activly start looking for food. This is when the problems start. The Koi Fry have to eat high protein high vitamin diet or they will be deformed. The diet consists of Brine Shrimp and a special mix of food and shrimp in week two. The Koi Fry grow very quickly within three weeks they will look distinctly like little koi. They colour up very quickly and look great. I dont cull any Koi except if they are deformed in any way. The way i see it Koi Breeding is very simple why kill a fish just because of its colour, we always end up with a few White and orange Koi but these are our best sellers we sell them for 0.80p each bought by the 100 or direct to the public at £2 a fish.
